July 21, 2017. During the last few weeks, I've been updating the Lily Street websites so that they are easier to use on mobile phones. With 4 websites to update, it's been quite a chore. Within the next day or so, I should be able to get back to quilting and designing patterns. Lily Street Patterns is now fully functional on a mobile phone. Patterns can be viewed and purchased with a credit card using Stripe. The process is almost the same as using your desktop.
On the iPhone, when you download the zip file, you’ll see a screen something like this:
Click More… and you’ll be able to send the zip file to yourself via email or text. You can also save it to the iCloud drive. Try it by downloading one of the free patterns first.
I’m not sure how the process will work with Android phones. If you try it out with your Android phone, let me know how it works.
If you have any issues, downloading a pattern file, whether it’s on your phone or on your computer, let me know right away.
The following two Lily Street websites have also been updated for mobile users. Lily Street Quilts has some tips and information for quilters of all levels. It also has a handy yardage calculator to help figure out how much fabric you need for borders, backing and binding. Many of the quilts that I’ve made can be viewed in Lily Street Gallery.
Lily Chat has a completely new look too–for both desktop and mobile users. We still have a little issue with the header image in mobile mode but I’ll get that fixed eventually. I plan to be more focused and post more frequently in the future. I have so many ideas for new patterns and need to get them out of my dreams and into computers for quilting.
Now that the websites are in good shape, I hear quilt tops and design tools calling my name.
