After laying, in pieces, on the garage floor in San Jose for 2 months and then standing, assembled in Brentwood but otherwise untouched for another month, my quilting machine is now purring away in her new studio. It took a village–sons-in-law, daughter, husband and me–to disassemble, move and then re-assemble ‘the beast’. (It’s what we call her because she is strong and powerful and has a mind of her own.) I was a little nervous about turning it on and loading up a quilt.
After unpacking the last box this week, I made quilting my next priority. Wow, after a little leveling and some other minor adjustments, a trial quilt came out great! Happy, Happy, Happy!
